WPHCC is His church and in Him we aim to grow, bring glory to God through our gathering, everyday worship, the gifting and equality of each individual, and the service of others as motivated by a Christ-like concern for all.

Smallgroups

It's easy to get lost in a church of our size.

Because God recognizes the preciousness of each individual provision is made for us to meet during the week in Small Groups.

WPHCC encourages the concept of meeting in Small Groups to assist its people and contacts to become effective followers of Jesus Christ through the teaching, prayer, stimulation and encouragement provided through interacting and fellowshipping in a Small Group.

Through equipping each Small Group with the ability to provide grass roots care it is also an aim to ensure that each individual experiences the pastoral care of the church both through the Small Group and by way of the pastoral resources that are primarily dedicated to Small Groups.

In our Small Groups we..

  • Enjoy ourselves
  • Study God's Word
  • Pray
  • Encourage each other through acts of fellowship
  • Receive focused help and pastoring.

Prime Aims

The prime aims of Small Groups at WPHCC are stated as..
  • WPHCC encourages the concept of meeting in Small Groups to assist its people and contacts to become effective followers of Jesus Christ through the teaching, prayer, stimulation and encouragement provided through interacting and fellowshipping in a Small Group.
  • Through equipping each Small Group with the ability to provide grass roots care it is also an aim to ensure that each individual experiences the pastoral care of the church both through the Small Group and by way of the pastoral resources that are primarily dedicated to Small Groups.

Specific Objectives

Specific Objective of our Small Groups..
  • Increase opportunities for Bible teaching and assistance in life related issues.
  • To motivate a deepening in every believers' devotion to Christ.
  • To facilitate Christian growth in every believer by providing opportunity for them to meet in small groups and/or through a one on one mentoring process.
  • To see an increase in our commitment to both private and collective-prayer.
  • To expand our evangelistic activity by training and equipping members to share their faith with others.
  • To provide pastoral care through small groups which involves each member caring for one another and the pastoral care team working in conjunction with small groups.
  • In addition to normal church giving groups are encouraged to take up a fellowship gift from time to time to meet a special need or mission purpose. Consideration should be given to the support of the WPHCC mission group.
NOTE: The realisation of these goals is dependent on each person enjoying their Small Group activity and it's essential that attention be given to this aspect.
